My Story

As most of you are aware Travis and Myself welcomed Our sleeping angel Taj Gregory Hulse into the world on July 23rd 2014. Taj born at 20wks and 4days weighed a tiny 400g, 25cm in length. Taj was diagnosed with a kidney disease at 12wks which was not compatible with life, Travis and i continued our journey knowing he wasn't in pain it was only a matter of time.

Nothing in this entire world can prepare you for this moment as a parent, despite the pain and heartache words can't express how blessed we feel to have Taj choose us to be his parents, to love him, to keep him safe until he was ready to let us go. Whilst Taj was growing inside mummy we know he felt safe and warm and loved, and we hope he knows we looked after him as best as we could. Taj's birth was the most beautiful day of our entire lives, despite knowing he would be born sleeping we honoured him with a natural birth. He was perfect, perfect and beautiful and peaceful.

The midwifes in delivery suite were sensational, so heartfelt, so warm and so loving. They allowed us the opportunity to spend as much time as we would like with Taj by offering a ' flexmort cuddle cot' -    (a system that kept Taj cool allowing him to remain with us without his body deteriorating, which would be most distressing). This allowed us the time to bond with Taj, to create those most important memories with our Son. The JHH Delivery Suite only has one of these machines available, which we don't feel is enough when two families are faced with the same heartbreaking circumstance.

As a way of thanking the JHH delivery suite and Renee ( the beautiful midwife who delivered Taj ) We would like to honour their work by giving back to them for all that they did for our Son Taj. We are creating this page in hope to raise the funds to allow the JHH to purchase another 'cuddle cot'.

For someone who never took a breath, the number of lives Taj has touched remarkable, Taj at zero days old has taught us more than we've ever known in our short 22 years of life. Taj has shown us more about life and love, peace and serenity than we ever knew. Taj had a purpose and we are sure of this, he will be preserved as an innocent heart forever. xxx
